The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caldoni shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Davis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Davis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caldoni manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davis's best efforts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caldoni closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard.

Caldoni loads up on a big left hand. Davis felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Caldoni looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Davis can't hide his disappointment, as Caldoni celebrates the victory.
