The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Betschkeit connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Szymuszowski tries to clinch up but Betschkeit circles away and keeps his distance.
Betschkeit catches Szymuszowski napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Szymuszowski to the canvas!
It looks like Bartlomiej Szymuszowski has been cut.
Betschkeit keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Szymuszowski's head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Szymuszowski can do anything to dispel that myth.
