Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leeland Lillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Three 6 Mafia - Its A Fight lyrics . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Boyka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lillard looks for the body kick but Boyka saw that one coming.
The fighters circling - Lillard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boyka moves out of range as Lillard throws a body kick.
Lillard misses with a body shot
and Boyka counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boyka blocks a head kick by Lillard.
Boyka walks into a left hand.
Boyka lands a body shot.
Boyka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lillard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boyka thuds a left hand into Lillard's body.
Lillard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boyka throws a jab but it's blocked by Lillard.
Lillard is looking to counter punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boyka misses with a wild body shot.
Boyka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boyka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lillard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boyka thows a left - swing and a miss!

Lillard slips a straight right by Boyka.
Lillard scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Boyka doesn't seem bothered though.
Boyka tests Lillard's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lillard thuds a left hand into Boyka's body.
Lillard gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lillard throws a body shot but no joy.

Boyka lands a nice hook to Lillard's body. Lillard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Boyka tries to land a leg kick but Lillard saw it coming and moves away.

Boyka slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lillard moves away from the strike by Boyka.
Lillard swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lillard lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lillard fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Boyka is out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Boyka misses the target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boyka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lillard throws a hook but Boyka avoids it easily.
Boyka connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lillard momentarily.
A lazy left from Boyka finds it's target.
Boyka stuns Lillard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Lillard misses with a head kick.
Lillard connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boyka's hands.
Boyka throws a head kick that misses.
Lillard is looking to counter with a body kick.
Lillard has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Boyka finds it's way round the side to connect with Lillard's head.
Lillard throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boyka on the side of the head.

Boyka digs a good body shot into Lillard's ribs.
Lillard misses with a wild body shot.
Lillard lands with an overhand left.
Boyka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Boyka takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Boyka lands a slapping body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lillard throws a series of punches but Boyka moves out of range.

Lillard walks into a stiff left hand from Boyka.
Lillard is rocked!
Boyka lands with a shot to the body.
Lillard lands with an overhand left.
Boyka is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lillard had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lillard goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Boyka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Oh Lillard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lillard is aggressively charging in as Boyka backs up avoiding any damage. Boyka tosses out a jab and Lillard runs right into it face first! Lillard is out cold! Boyka dropped down on all fours and is barking in Lillard's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuri Boyka!

Our winner, Yuri Boyka, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
