Cuida has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Westside Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.

Curran swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Curran feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cuida's calf.

Cuida was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Curran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Curran wants it to stay on the feet.
Curran was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cuida crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Curran - the referee stops the clock and Cuida gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Curran. Cuida manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Curran avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cuida throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Curran sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Cuida throws a shot from downtown. Curran moves away and avoids it.

Cuida is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Curran stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Cuida throws a jab but it's blocked by Curran.
Cuida catches Curran with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Cuida looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Curran wants to counter with a clinch but Cuida pushes him away.
Curran drops his hands momentarily and Cuida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gray Cuida will probably get the nod.

Curran is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Cuida on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Curran has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
A jab lands there for Cuida.
Curran moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cuida is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Curran throws a big uppercut that drops Cuida! More strikes from Curran and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Cuida lies dazed against the cage as Curran celebrates with his cornermen!
