Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Von Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Skeet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Von Lee comes to the cage accompanied by Day of Anger. DJ Skeet acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Skeet!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skeet throws a jab but it's blocked by Von Lee.
Von Lee has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Von Lee feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Skeet has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Von Lee is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Von Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Skeet was well out of range. Poor timing from Von Lee.
Skeet rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Skeet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Skeet wants to pass to mount but Von Lee is defending the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skeet got a little sloppy there for a moment and Von Lee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Skeet has managed to get both his arms back between Von Lee's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

No joy there for Skeet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Skeet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Von Lee circles away quickly and effectively.

As Skeet backs away, Von Lee returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Skeet preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Von Lee is looking to work some ground and pound but Skeet has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skeet is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Von Lee counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Skeet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Skeet throws a jab when Von Lee was well out of range.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Von Lee counters with a stiff right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clifton Von Lee dominated that round.

Skeet throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Von Lee swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Von Lee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Skeets jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Skeet throws a head kick that misses
and Skeet takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Skeet is rocked!
Clifton Von Lee is winning the standup battle so far.
Skeet drops his hands momentarily. Von Lee doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Skeet staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Skeet doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clifton Von Lee!
