PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Proudfeather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Proudfeather comes into the arena with Come and Get Your Love blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Proudfeather!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charlie Whyte!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte connects with a body shot.
Proudfeather gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Whyte counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Proudfeather tries a head kick but it misses.
A little jabbing left from Whyte on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Proudfeather looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Whyte checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A low kick from Proudfeather misses
and Whyte counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A slow jab from Whyte misses its intended target.
Proudfeather connects with a leg kick. Whyte looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A telegraphed right hand from Proudfeather misses the target.
Whyte misses with a looping right.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Proudfeather misses with a head kick.
Whyte tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Leonard Proudfeather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whyte lands a slapping body shot.
Whyte bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Proudfeather's head.
Proudfeather pivots, looking for a leg kick but Whyte is out of range and Proudfeather settles back down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Whyte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Proudfeather was well out of range. Poor timing from Whyte.
Proudfeather feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Proudfeather.
Proudfeather tries a head kick but it misses.
Whyte lands with a nice body punch.
Proudfeather keeps the fight on the outside.
Proudfeather will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A head kick misses from Proudfeather.
Whyte doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Proudfeather scores with a head kick. Whyte tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Good standup being displayed there by Whyte as he connects with a hook.
Proudfeather misses with a lunging right hand
and Whyte counters with a straight right hand.
Proudfeather misses with a leg kick
and Whyte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Proudfeather takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Proudfeather motions for Whyte to come forward. Proudfeather throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Whyte takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Proudfeather checks the leg kick nicely there.
Proudfeather walks straight into a right hand from Whyte - that's dropped him! Whyte jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Proudfeather from any more punishment! Proudfeather complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Charlie Whyte!
During a confident post fight interview, Charlie Whyte thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Leonard Proudfeather had this to say: '*leonard turns silently to the camera as a single tear rolls down his cheek*'.
