And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylvia stuffs the takedown.
Sylvia takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Ross Thompson has been cut.
Sylvia rushes Thompson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sylvia breaks the clinch.
Thompson with a poor takedown
and Sylvia counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nice takedown defense from Sylvia. No joy for Thompson on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ross Thompson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left and a right from Thompson both land. Nice combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson clinches with his opponent.
Thompson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thompson drops his hands momentarily and Sylvia takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Sylvia counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thompson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sylvia wants to land a leg kick but Thompson is out of range.
A combination from Sylvia does no damage.
Thompson attempts a counter takedown but Sylvia avoids it well and moves away.
Sylvia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thompson moves away.
Sylvia throws a combination that misses
and Thompson counters with a one-two to the body.
Slim Sylvia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sylvia throws a big shot that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sylvia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sylvia rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut.
Sylvia Throws a clean left jab. Sylvia Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Thompson's chin! Thompson crumbles to the ground and Sylvia follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Sylvia!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Slim Sylvia!
