Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carmine Caldoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Davis!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caldoni doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Caldoni gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Davis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Davis gets control of Caldoni's arms and successfully pulls guard. Davis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Davis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Caldoni defends well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Caldoni tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Davis defends well and Caldoni ends up having to push Davis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Davis jumps guard and drags Caldoni to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Caldoni's waist but Caldoni gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Caldoni connects with a nice short shot to Davis's temple.
