PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michio Michi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panupong Singsurat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michio Michi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Panupong Singsurat!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michio Michi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Michi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Singsurat's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Singsurat is trying to break the clinch but Michi has him pressed against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Michi.
Michi misses with a punch on the inside.
Michi is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Singsurat gets control of Michi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Singsurat will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Singsurat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Michi's guard.

Singsurat passes into half guard.
Singsurat is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Michi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Michi tries to get out of the position.

Singsurat tries to pass the half guard into mount. Michi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Michi tries to roll over but Singsurat keeps him under control.

Singsurat maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Michi could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Singsurat has cracked it and Michi is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Singsurat!
