PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Constrictor Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigurd Vinci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sigurd Vinci told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sigurd Vinci!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Boa is taking a breather. Vinci says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vinci for as long as he can get away with.

Constrictor Boa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Boa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
