The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims slaps away a takedown attempt from Salonen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sims seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Salonen misses with a takedown
and Sims counters with a three punch combo that has Salonen backing up. Salonen nods at Sims to acknowledge the strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salonen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sims shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salonen wants to control but Sims passes into side.
Salonen can't do much from the bottom here.

Dong Sims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Janne Salonen.
Salonen goes for a takedown attempt but Sims pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Salonen tries a body shot but Sims blocks it.

Sims throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salonen was covering up waiting for the punch and Sims finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Salonen is looking to stand back up but Sims counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Salonen.

Salonen is trying to maintain the position but Sims is very close to passing his half guard.
Sims seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sims really is a fat lump.

Sims seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Salonen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
