Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Gatsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Spazz - Crush Kill Destroy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Ward!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward tries for a takedown but Gatsby circles away easily
and Gatsby counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gatsby throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ward moves forwards but Gatsby connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ward shoots in but no luck this time.

Gatsby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ward is trying to stand back up but Gatsby is controlling him

Gatsby is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ward has managed to free his arm - good work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Gatsby here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Gatsby seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Ward is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gatsby has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ward is looking to defend but Gatsby has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ward! Gatsby pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ward taps out and this one is all over!
