Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Andrews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews tries to score with a low kick but Diaz moves his leg out of the way.

Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andrews's guard.

Diaz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Andrews manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Andrews doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz.

Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Andrews moves out of range easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Andrews tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diaz smiles and moves away.

Nate Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Andrews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nate Diaz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
