Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Azorre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John tries to score a power double leg takedown but Azorre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten John somewhat.
Azorre connects with a leg kick. John looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Azorre turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Azorre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
John goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Azorre throws a head kick that John semi-blocks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

John is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

John tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Azorre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Azorre looks to land a combination but John avoids it well.
Azorre throws a body punch but John moves out of range.

John feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Azorre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for John on the ground.
Azorre isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. John stacks Azorre on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by John!
Azorre is trying to control John's posture but John avoids it.
John is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Azorre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but John moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

John's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Azorre fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and John has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Azorre, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
