Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Rustern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Blighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Rustern!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Buster Blighton !
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blighton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Blighton throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Blighton is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Rustern might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blighton moves nicely into side control.
Rustern defending against the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blighton controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Rustern's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rustern is trying to escape the position but Blighton is controlling the position.
Rustern struggling a bit here.
Blighton has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Rustern is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blighton throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Blighton misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Rustern wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Blighton .
Blighton looking to control and managing it successfully.
It looks like Blighton might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Rustern keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Blighton goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rustern turns into him and now he's in Blighton 's guard.
Blighton pulls Rustern in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blighton 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Blighton looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rustern is defending well. Blighton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rustern has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Blighton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Buster Blighton !
