Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Glenn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ross Kidd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tj Glenn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd lands a nice looking kick to the body. Glenn takes a step back to recover.

Kidd moves into the clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from Kidd.

Kidd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Glenn avoids the body shot from Kidd.
Kidd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kidd has Glenn up against the cage in a clinch.
Kidd stalls.

Kidd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kidd darts in and clinches Glenn up against the cage.
Kidd stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Glenn has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kidd is trying to keep an underhook but Glenn manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Kidd wants to get back to full guard.
Kidd is trying is best to control the position here.

Kidd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kidd is not content to let Glenn control the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Glenn is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A slow jab from Glenn misses its intended target.

Glenn works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Glenn looking to sit in guard and control but Kidd gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Glenn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Glenn looking for a guillotine here but Kidd defends easily.

Kidd has gone for a leg lock! Glenn slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kidd's guard.

A close round but Tj Glenn will probably get the nod.

Glenn is trying to trip Kidd. He has hold of a leg but Kidd is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Glenn persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Kidd is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kidd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kidd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Glenn on the ground.

Glenn rushes Kidd and presses him up against the cage.

Glenn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kidd.
Glenn feints the counter takedown.
Kidd throws a right hand that Glenn ducks under and follows up with a left that Glenn also avoids with ease.
Glenn tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kidd drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Glenn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kidd is controlling him well.
Glenn is not content to let Kidd control the position.
Glenn wants to control but Kidd postures up.
Glenn is looking for a sweep.
Kidd sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Glenn is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Glenn is looking to regain half guard here but Kidd keeps moving and retains side control.

Tj Glenn has got the better of the ground game so far.
Glenn is looking to reverse the position.
Kidd connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Glenn some visible discomfort.
Kidd misses with the ground and pound.
Glenn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Glenn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kidd is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Glenn preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kidd dives in for a single leg takedown but Glenn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Glenn rushes Kidd and presses him up against the cage.

Glenn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kidd regains guard immediately.
Kidd pulls Glenn in to control the position.
Glenn stopping the sweep attempt from Kidd.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tj Glenn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Kidd clinches up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kidd - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kidd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Glenn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kidd.
Kidd scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Glenn instigates a clinch.

Kidd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Glenn clinches up with Kidd and pushes him back against the cage.

Kidd is controlling Glenn's trapped leg to prevent Glenn from advancing to side control.
Glenn prevents Kidd from improving his position.

Glenn is thwarting Kidd's attempts to control the position.
Kidd wants to improve his position but Glenn is controlling well.
Glenn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kidd keeps working.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Kidd fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Glenn, pushing him back against the cage.

Kidd wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Glenn wants to control from the top but Kidd keeps moving.
Kidd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Glenn is one step ahead there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Glenn postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Glenn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kidd throws a big counter combination but Glenn scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Kidd gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kidd manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Kidd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kidd will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Glenn up against the cage.
Kidd is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Tj Glenn.
I've got Glenn winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
