Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alvaro Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Alviso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alviso has chosen Oakland as his entrance music. Jerome Alviso will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerome Alviso!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dos Santos dives in and scores a takedown into Alviso's guard.

Dos Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alviso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dos Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Alviso's legs - danger averted.

Alviso drops back looking for a leg! Dos Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dos Santos manages to kick Alviso off! Alviso jumps back into Dos Santos's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alviso accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
