Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Phaneuf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnum comes to the cage accompanied by I am Stronger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Magnum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Phaneuf!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phaneuf wants to clinch up but Magnum keeps it at a distance.
Phaneuf shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Phaneuf shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Magnum sprawls well. Magnum wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Phaneuf gets slowly back to his feet.
A combination from Magnum does no damage.
Magnum shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Phaneuf's guard.

Phaneuf is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Magnum is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magnum wants to control from the top but Phaneuf keeps moving.

Magnum trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Phaneuf thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Magnum connects with a couple of short punches.
Magnum has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magnum controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Magnum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phaneuf on the ground.
Magnum wants to pass the guard but Phaneuf is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Magnum working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Phaneuf's head.
Phaneuf keeping moving, preventing Magnum from controlling successfully.
Magnum stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Phaneuf shoots in looking for a takedown. Magnum tries to sprawl out of it but Phaneuf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Magnum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson Magnum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Phaneuf.
Magnum works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Phaneuf darts in looking for a takedown but Magnum gets double underhooks and turns Phaneuf into the cage.
Kyle Phaneuf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magnum swats away the attempt to clinch by Phaneuf.
Magnum is looking to counter with head kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Phaneuf tries to clinch but Magnum is having none of it.
Magnum leaves Phaneuf with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Magnum is trying to force a seperation but Phaneuf has the dominant position.
Phaneuf gets underhooks to prevent Magnum's takedown attempt.
Magnum wants to get back to striking at distance but Phaneuf won't allow it.
Phaneuf prevents Magnum from breaking the clinch.
Magnum escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Magnum moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Phaneuf! Magnum continues to tee off on Phaneuf, landing with a left and a right! Magnum connects with a right hand that leaves Phaneuf sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Magnum!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jackson Magnum!
Our winner, Jackson Magnum, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
