Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Ebbitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ebbitt comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine. Terry Tatum has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Ebbitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebbitt fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ebbitt has been working on his balance at Cozad MMA Las Vegas, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Tatum.

Ebbitt rushes Tatum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ebbitt tries to circle away but Tatum has him pinned against the cage.
Ebbitt swings wildly with an uppercut but Tatum uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ebbitt swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ebbitt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tatum fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Tatum is looking to slow Ebbitt down with leg kicks.
Tatum feints and then cracks Ebbitt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ebbitt down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tatum lands a big head kick that sends Ebbitt tumbling to the mat! Tatum takes a step backwards and waves Ebbitt back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Tommy Ebbitt has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tatum shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tatum looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ebbitt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tatum.
Tatum keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Tatum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ebbitt sees it coming and defends easily.
Tatum wants to take a breather but Ebbitt is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tatum wants to free his trapped foot but Ebbitt is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tatum seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ebbitt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ebbitt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tatum is working away from the top position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tatum is looking to advance position but Ebbitt won't allow it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ebbitt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tatum looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ebbitt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tommy Ebbitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ebbitt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ebbitt moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromTatum.
Ebbitt is breathing heavily.
Ebbitt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Tatum lands a jab to the head.
Tatum feints with a jab and clips Ebbitt right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Ebbitt is sent crashing into the canvas and Tatum leaps in for the kill! Ebbitt tries to get to his feet but Tatum is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Ebbitt is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terry Tatum!
A very excited looking Terry Tatum made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Tommy Ebbitt was interviewed post fight and said 'i'll be back'.
