Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oberion McKane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chance Spong!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McKane tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Spong is in McKane's guard.

McKane manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Nice jab there from McKane.
McKane catches Spong with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
McKane lands a slapping body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spong fails to land with a series of punches.
McKane takes a swing at Spong's ribcage but misses.
Spong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McKane.
Spong bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A big left from Spong misses.
McKane scores with a crisp jab that stopped Spong in his tracks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Spong is defended easily by McKane.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McKane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spong was well out of range. Poor timing from McKane.
McKane throws a body kick that misses.

McKane lands a big head kick that sends Spong tumbling to the mat! McKane takes a step backwards and waves Spong back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Spong is rocked!
Spong shoots in looking for a takedown but McKane manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Spong is still on wobbly legs! Can McKane finish him?
Spong misses with a few strikes there.
McKane tries a head kick but it misses.
Spong with the counter takedown but McKane avoids it easily.
McKane throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKane finds Spong's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Spong flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. McKane lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Spong will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oberion McKane!
Oberion McKane seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
