The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryan gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Boika counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Crunch! Boika slams his shin into Bryan's torso.
Boika looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bryan kicks off Boika and gets to his feet.
Boika misses with a body shot
and Bryan counters with a nice leg kick.
Boika connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boika tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice jab there from Boika.
Boika throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boika throws a front kick that sends Bryan stumbling back into the cage.
Bryan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boika swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Boika scores with a jab to the head.
Bryan shoots in but no luck this time.
Boika wants to counter with a clinch but Bryan pushes him away.
Boika connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Boika misses with a series of wild punches.
Bryan tries to keep at a distance but Boika has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boika breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bryan takes a kick to the side of the head.
Boika will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bryan fails with a takedown attempt.

Boika throws a jab when Bryan was well out of range.
Bryan is looking to counter with head kicks.
Boika jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Boika counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wm Bryan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

No luck for Bryan with that takedown attempt.
Bryan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boika paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bryan sets himself, and Boika steps forward looking for the clinch! Bryan avoids it this time.

Boika closes the distance and clinches.
Bryan is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Boika is defending well.
Bryan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boika pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bryan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boika - the referee stops the clock and Bryan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boika. Bryan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Boika scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bryan in his tracks.
Boika lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Bryan goes down and covers up as Boika starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Boika!
