The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Couturier connects with a body shot that sends Smith's belly button to the back.
Good leg kick by Couturier there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Couturier sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Couturier lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Couturier.

It looks like Bo Smith has been cut.

Couturier forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smith jumps guard but Couturier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
