The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinn waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Beaver.
Beaver tries to keep at a distance but Quinn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Quinn has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Beaver uses from the top position.
Quinn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Quinn keeping moving, preventing Beaver from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quinn is looking for a triangle but Beaver pushes his legs off easily.
My spies in CT + BJJ & Wrestling & Boxing & MT SPARRING GYM inform me that Beaver has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Quinn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Beaver stands and throws Quinn's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Beaver is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Quinn has escaped the position, nice work there.
Beaver tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Quinn can't do much from the bottom here.
Quinn tries to improve position but can't.
