Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tomas Marley and Eli Armis. Armis has chosen Mortal Kombat Theme as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eli Armis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 1 losses; Tomas Marley! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 5 losses; Eli Armis!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Marley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Armis's guard.

Marley is looking for a sweep. Armis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Armis wants to control the pace but Marley is squirming around nicely.

Armis moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Marley has worked his arm free - good work by Marley!
Armis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marley keeps working.

Armis tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Marley is looking for a sweep.
Marley is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Armis off and has taken his back!

What can Armis do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Marley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
I really don't envy Armis right now.
Armis is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Marley keeps control of the position easily here as Armis tries to buck him off.

Armis is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Marley.
Marley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Marley's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Armis has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Armis is really stuck here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Armis wants to control his opponent's hands but Marley gets his hands free.

Armis looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Marley has picked Armis up and slammed him! Armis can't keep hold of the triangle and Marley manages to pass to side control!

Armis wants to control but Marley postures up.
Marley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Marley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Armis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Armis tries to improve position but can't.
Marley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Armis keeps working.
Marley is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Armis tries to bench press Marley off him but Marley keeps the position.
Marley tries to advance to mount but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
