And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paelinck lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Paelinck has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Paelinck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Connor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paelinck throws a strike aimed at the side of Connor's head but Connor avoids it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Connor can do anything to dispel that myth.

Paelinck misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Paelinck lands a big left to the face of Connor, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Paelinck and another - Connor is out! Paelinck stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Jimmie Connor spoke after the fight, saying 'I'LL GET BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND SEE WHAT WENT WRONG , I WILL BE BACK '.
