Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavior Reo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Android Eighteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavior Reo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Android Eighteen !
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Xavior Reo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Eighteen wants to counter with a clinch but Reo pushes him away.

Reo closes the distance and pushes Eighteen back into the cage.
Eighteen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Eighteen has clasped his hands together around Reo's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Eighteen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Eighteen tries for a kimura but Reo is defending well.

Reo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eighteen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Reo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Eighteen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Eighteen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reo is keeping the position for now.
Reo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Eighteen forces his way into half guard.
Eighteen trying to control the action but Reo is working from the bottom.

Eighteen postures up in Reo's guard and throws a big left but Reo blocks it.

Reo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eighteen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eighteen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Reo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Eighteen uses from the top position.

A close round but Android Eighteen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Eighteen shoots in and drives through. Reo sprawls well.
Reo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Reo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Reo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Eighteen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Reo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Eighteen closes the distance and clinches up with Reo, looking for a takedown. Eighteen pushes Reo against the cage but Reo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Eighteen moves out of range as Reo throws a body kick.
Eighteen tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Eighteen darts in looking for a takedown but Reo gets double underhooks and turns Eighteen into the cage.
Xavior Reo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Android Eighteen .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eighteen goes for a double leg but Reo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reo continues to drive forward.
Reo takes a swing at Eighteen 's ribcage but misses.
And Eighteen tries to counter it with a takedown but Reo pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Reo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reo wants it to stay on the feet.
Reo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Reo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Reo has Eighteen up against the cage in a clinch.
Reo lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Eighteen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reo smiles and moves away.

Reo feints and as Eighteen raises his hands in defense, Reo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Eighteen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Eighteen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Eighteen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eighteen with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Eighteen is one step ahead there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eighteen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eighteen has managed to get both his arms back between Reo's legs - danger averted.
Eighteen tries to free his leg and advance position but Reo is retaining full guard.
Eighteen wants to control from the top but Reo keeps moving.

Reo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Eighteen is aware though and is defending well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eighteen is looking to stand up but Reo won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Reo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Eighteen can do to turn this around?
Eighteen avoids a kick to the body.
Eighteen shoots in looking for a takedown but Reo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eighteen 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reo lands with a kick to the temple. Eighteen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Reo takes a swing at Eighteen 's ribcage but misses.
Eighteen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reo swivels and escapes.
Reo just misses with a punch to the body.
Reo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eighteen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Reo counters with a straight right hand.
Reo pivots, looking for a leg kick but Eighteen is out of range and Reo settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Xavior Reo dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Eighteen shoots for a takedown but Reo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Eighteen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Reo is refusing to be controlled, as Eighteen sits in half guard.

Android Eighteen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Eighteen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
