Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joby Turner!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner scores with a one two! Hansen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Newton Hansen has been cut.

Turner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Hansen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Turner's elbow.

Turner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hansen is trying to keep an underhook but Turner manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turner is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hansen sees it coming and defends easily.
Turner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hansen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Turner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Turner is looking for a kimura but Hansen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Turner to get the leverage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Turner prevents Hansen from improving his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hansen throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hansen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Turner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hansen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Turner takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Hansen to pass into mount.

Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turner on the ground.

Turner looking for a guillotine from mount but Hansen is having none of it.
Hansen is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hansen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Turner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hansen to the mat! Hansen manages to get full guard.

Hansen is rocked!
Turner postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Hansen bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Turner and the fight is over!
