The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs tries to clinch up but Thompson circles away and keeps his distance.
Thompson gets tackled into the cage by Hobbs. Hobbs maintains the clinch.
Thompson breaks the clinch.
Hobbs on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hobbs ducks under a wild hook from Thompson.
A punch lands to the side of Hobbs 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Fritz Hobbs has been cut.
Thompson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hobbs to the canvas! Hobbs doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Thompson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
