Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Moses Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Pokrajac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Pokrajac has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Moses Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Igor Pokrajac!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banks defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pokrajac.

Pokrajac closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pokrajac working away.
Pokrajac trying to control the position but Banks is working away.
Banks can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Pokrajac scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Banks to see if he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banks is trying to control Pokrajac's posture but Pokrajac avoids it.
Pokrajac in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Pokrajac lands some shots froms side control.
Banks really is a fat lump.
The referee asks Pokrajac politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pokrajac prefers to stall for the moment though.

Pokrajac decides to stand back up. Pokrajac steps back and let's Banks get back to his feet.
Pokrajac looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pokrajac shoots in but Banks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moses Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Pokrajac.
Banks misses with a body kick.
Banks looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Banks clinches up with Pokrajac and pushes him back against the cage.
Banks gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pokrajac.

Banks decides to pull guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pokrajac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banks controlling the position.
Pokrajac seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Banks keeping moving, preventing Pokrajac from controlling successfully.
Banks is controlling Pokrajac's posture.
Banks wants to sweep here but Pokrajac controlling him for the moment.
Pokrajac wanted to stand there but Banks had control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pokrajac cracks Banks with a solid left hand.
Banks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pokrajac is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Banks has control of Pokrajac's left arm, preventing Pokrajac from doing any damage.
Pokrajac slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Igor Pokrajac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pokrajac shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Banks is looking to improve his position.
Pokrajac is just content to waste time from the top position. Banks takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Banks is breathing heavily.
Pokrajac lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Banks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pokrajac controlling from the top position.
Banks looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pokrajac slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Igor Pokrajac will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Banks tries to clinch but Pokrajac is having none of it.
Pokrajac blocks a head kick by Banks.
Banks throws a head kick that misses.
Pokrajac avoids the head kick by Banks.

Banks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Banks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pokrajac is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Banks off and has taken his back!
Banks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pokrajac tries to keep control of the position but Banks is staying busy.
Pokrajac cracks Banks with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Banks from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Banks trying to control the position but Pokrajac manages to sink in the hooks.
Pokrajac has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pokrajac slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Pokrajac has his arm under Banks's chin here. Game over son! Pokrajac squeezes tightly and Banks is forced to tap out!
