Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leonardo Obrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Suha Sosa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa throws a combination that misses
and Obrien connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sosa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Obrien can't get the takedown.
Obrien fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Obrien drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sosa gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Obrien. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sosa has had enough of the clinch but Obrien keeps him there for the moment.
Obrien is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Obrien's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


It looks like Leonardo Obrien has been cut.

Sosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sosa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Obrien, pushing him back against the cage.
Sosa is trying to push Obrien away but Obrien has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sosa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Sosa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Obrien jumps into guard, dragging Sosa to the mat.

Obrien is working an open guard so Sosa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Sosa has managed to clinch.
Sosa gets underhooks to prevent Obrien's takedown attempt.
Obrien is trying to pull guard but Sosa turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Sosa's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Obrien tries for a takedown. No joy.

Obrien has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sosa is trying to keep an underhook but Obrien manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Obrien is breathing heavily.

Sosa kicks Obrien off and gets back to his feet.

Sosa closes the distance and pushes Obrien back into the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Obrien changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sosa fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sosa rushes Obrien and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sosa works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sosa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Obrien's guard.
Obrien really is a fat lump.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Obrien wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Sosa decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Obrien, up you get!

Sosa has managed to clinch.

Sosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sosa cracks Obrien with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sosa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Obrien to stand back up!


Obrien is rocked!
Sosa connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Obrien out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Suha Sosa!
A less than humble Suha Sosa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
