Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferdinand Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Superbeast - Rob Zombie. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ferdinand Marcos!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcos swats away the attempt to clinch by Reis.
Reis just misses with a punch to the body.
Marcos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reis.
Paulo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reis showed some decent athleticism there.
Marcos wants to control but Reis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Reis stops Marcos from getting back to his feet.
Reis throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Reis is working for a kimura but Marcos is defending it quite comfortably.

Marcos goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Marcos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Reis is trying to control the position but Marcos postures up.

Nice body kick there by Marcos.
Reis looks to clinch
and Marcos counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Reis instigates a clinch.
Marcos scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Reis prevents Marcos from breaking the clinch.
Reis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marcos has him pressed against the ropes.

Marcos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Marcos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marcos misses with a straight right.

Reis clinches but Marcos breaks the clinch
and Marcos counters with a stiff right hand.

Reis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I really don't envy Reis right now.
Reis is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
