The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mumba moves into the clinch.
Leary stalls.
Leary slowing the pace effectively.
Nice body punch from Mumba - that landed with a thud.
Leary tries to pull guard but Mumba forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Leary is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Mumba to keep the fight standing.
Leary is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mumba gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ubungu Mumba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Leary.
Mumba is working Leary over against the cage.
Mumba lands an uppercut.
Leary tries to pull guard but Mumba won't allow it.

Leary pulls guard effortlessly.
We've been hearing good reports from Mumba's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Leary has his foot on Mumba's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mumba works his way back into a safe position though.

Leary has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mumba is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Leary.
Leary tries to buck Mumba off but Mumba is having none of it.
Leary felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Leary is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mumba off and has taken his back!

Leary is not going to allow Mumba to sit and survive in this position.

Leary is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Mumba has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Leary has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Mumba taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Leary doesn't care though - he's delighted!
