Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Darski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poon Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Darski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Poon Hunter!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darski shoots in but Hunter avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Darski tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Darski moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off.
Chuck Darski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darski getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Darski tries to keep at a distance but Hunter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Darski trying to control the position but instead, Hunter has worked for underhooks and has pushed Darski into the cage.
Hunter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Darski fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from Darski both land. Nice combination.
Hunter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Darski swivels and escapes.
Darski tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Darski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Darski checks a low kick from Hunter.
Hunter misses with a series of wild punches.
Darski moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off.
Hunter swats away the attempt to clinch by Darski.
Hunter shoots and misses
and Darski counters with a series of strikes. Hunter will be more careful next time no doubt.
Chuck Darski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poon Hunter.
Hunter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Darski to counter with a crisp jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hunter.
Darski moves out of range of the body kick from Hunter.
Darski wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Hunter throws a lazy head kick
letting Darski counter with a right hand.

Hunter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Darski to the ground. Hunter is now in Darski's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Darski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Darski is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Darski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Darski lands a nice short elbow.
Hunter is refusing to be controlled, as Darski sits in half guard.
Hunter is trying to escape back to his feet but Darski uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Darski has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hunter!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hunter's face.

BOOM! Darski connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Darski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Darski avoids the attempt from Hunter to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darski breaks from Hunter's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Darski cracks Hunter with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Darski cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hunter tries to reverse the position but Darski maintains control.
Darski trying to control but Hunter is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hunter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hunter can do anything to dispel that myth.
Darski avoids the attempt from Hunter to control.
Darski punishing his opponent with strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
BOOM! Darski connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Darski landing strikes, looking to finish!
Darski looking to finish Hunter with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hunter!
Hunter is wriggling around trying to escape.
Darski fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Darski tries to clinch but Hunter moves out of range.

Hunter closes the distance and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Darski is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Darski trying to control the position but instead, Hunter has worked for underhooks and has pushed Darski into the cage.

Darski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Poon Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunter motions for Darski to come forward. Hunter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hunter is defended easily by Darski.

Hunter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Darski darts in and clinches Hunter up against the cage.
Darski tries to circle away but Hunter has him pinned against the cage.
Hunter wants a takedown.
Chuck Darski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Poon Hunter.
Hunter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Darski prevents it.
Darski tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hunter prevents a takedown attempt there.
Darski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hunter.
Darski is trying to stall.
Darski trying to stall but Hunter improves his position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Darski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hunter can do to turn this around?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Darski lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hunter backwards.

A right hand to the body from Hunter.
Darski tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hunter avoids it.
Hunter wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Darski has him pressed against the cage.
Darski with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Hunter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Darski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sloppy strikes from Hunter. Those never looked like landing.

Hunter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Darski to keep the fight standing.
Hunter tries to pull guard but Darski won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Darski's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Hunter pulls guard successfully.
Darski chips away with some ground and pound.
Darski stops Hunter from standing up.
Darski works over Hunter with some ground and pound from guard.
Darski stands up over Hunter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hunter has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Darski has passed into side control.
Hunter is looking for a sweep.
Hunter looks to move to half guard but instead Darski has passed into mount! Damn!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Darski lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Darski dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Darski moves into the clinch successfully.
Darski lands a nice uppercut.
Hunter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Darski just stands there and leans against the cage.
Darski misses with a hook to the ribs.

Hunter manages to break the clinch.
Darski closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Hunter to counter with a crisp jab.

Hunter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Darski gets back to full guard.
Darski pulls Hunter in close to his closed guard and prevents Hunter from doing any damage or advancing position.
Hunter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Darski lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Darski stands and steps away. Hunter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hunter is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Darski reverses the position - he's now on top in Hunter's guard.

Darski looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Darski is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hunter!
Darski connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Darski can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunter is looking to escape.

Darski lands with some strikes.

Hunter is desperately trying to improve his position but Darski has a good base and remains in mount.
