PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Chong Wei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Vegeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegeta has chosen Lullaby as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Chong Wei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Prince Vegeta!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wei closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Wei is trying to break free.

Vegeta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wei has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wei goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Vegeta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wei swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wei takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Vegeta clinches.

Vegeta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wei waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vegeta.

Wei moves into the clinch successfully.

Vegeta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Vegeta gets tackled into the ropes by Wei. Wei maintains the clinch.

Vegeta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wei looks to throw a body kick

and Vegeta counters with a lead uppercut that lands right on the button! Wei goes down! Will Wei beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's up! No problem. Let's get back to the action!

It looks like Chong Wei has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wei throws a left and a right that both miss
and before Wei has any time to reset, Vegeta cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Prince Vegeta!
After winning the bout, Prince Vegeta thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
