Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nathaniel Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Naoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong digs a good body shot into Naoki's ribs.
Naoki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Armstrong tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Naoki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Armstrong.
Naoki connects with a jab.

It looks like Nathaniel Armstrong has been cut.
Armstrong looks to land a right hand but Naoki moved out of range.
Armstrong missing with a left hand there. Naoki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Naoki feints a jab promting Armstrong to slip. Naoki then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Armstrong slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Naoki lands with a straight right. Armstrong didn't see that one coming.

and Naoki makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Armstrong really felt that one!

Donk. Armstrong catches Naoki right on the button with a cross.
Naoki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Armstrong shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Naoki eats them both and turns towards Armstrong to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Naoki leaves Armstrong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Armstrong does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Armstrong has his foot on Naoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Naoki works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

My spies in Russian Bears Elite Gym inform me that Naoki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Naoki wants to get back to his feet.
Armstrong has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Naoki is working away from the top position though.

Armstrong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nathaniel Armstrong will probably get the nod.

Naoki stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Oh Armstrong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Naoki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Naoki cracks Armstrong with a hook to the temple - Armstrong is on wobbly legs here! Naoki swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Armstrong falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Naoki wins by TKO!

A determined Takeshi Naoki didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
