Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Comanche Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lethal Larry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry has chosen Promise Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Lethal Larry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larry swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Todd has Larry up against the cage in a clinch.
Larry lands a left hand.
Larry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Larry throws a body shot but no joy.

and Larry counters with a left and a right that stings Todd.
Nice body kick there by Larry.

and Todd takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Comanche Todd has been cut.

Larry misses with a wild body shot.

and Larry counters with a nice double leg into side control. Todd won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Larry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Todd is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Larry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Todd is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Larry is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Larry throwing shots but Todd is blocking nicely.

Larry uses his free foot to push down on Todd's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Todd.
Larry goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Todd turns into him and now he's in Larry's guard.

Larry has his foot on Todd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Todd works his way back into a safe position though.

Todd stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Larry throws up his legs and catches Todd in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Todd tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Larry! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Lethal Larry!
An out of breath Lethal Larry thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
