Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Tsoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PePe Hapitchou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsoi comes into the arena with Zvezda po Imeni Solnce blaring out of the sound system. Hapitchou has chosen Blackalicious - Sky is falling as his entrance music. PePe Hapitchou has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Viktor Tsoi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Viktor Tsoi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, PePe Hapitchou!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsoi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hapitchou's sensitive parts.
Tsoi throws a solid leg kick but Hapitchou takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tsoi.
It seemed like Hapitchou was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hapitchou takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tsoi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hapitchou manages to avoid it.
Tsoi looks to score with a jab to the body but Hapitchou is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hapitchou! But no joy.
Tsoi scores with a hook to the body. Hapitchou takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tsoi misses with a body kick.
Tsoi throws an overhand right that lands on Hapitchou's shoulder, as Hapitchou tries to avoid the shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hapitchou sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Donk. Tsoi catches Hapitchou right on the button with a cross.
Hapitchou dodges the punch combination from Tsoi.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hapitchou! But no joy.
Hapitchou is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tsoi.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Tsoi throws a chopping leg kick but Hapitchou manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
It seemed like Hapitchou was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hapitchou turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Hapitchou on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tsoi. Tsoi obviously looking to wear him down.
Tsoi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Tsoi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A slow jab from Hapitchou misses its intended target.

Tsoi lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Hapitchou counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Hapitchou sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hapitchou misses with a hook. Tsoi ducked under it nicely.
Tsoi throws a hook to the side of Hapitchou's head but Hapitchou sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hapitchou might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Tsoi has got the better of the exchanges.

Tsoi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tsoi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hapitchou can do to turn this around?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tsoi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hapitchou moves away.
Tsoi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hapitchou looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hapitchou drops his hands momentarily and Tsoi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Tsoi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hapitchou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tsoi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hapitchou is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tsoi is staying tight to Hapitchou's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Tsoi wants to control but Hapitchou is keeping him busy.

Hapitchou's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

That kick from Tsoi tenderised Hapitchou's leg. Hapitchou is trying to keep his angry face on.
PePe Hapitchou has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hapitchou has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Tsoi.

Viktor Tsoi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tsoi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
