These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Curran!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tito Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Curran counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Tito Griffin has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Griffin.
Curran throws a head kick but Griffin moves out of range.
Curran tries to clinch but Griffin is having none of it.
Griffin swings for the body but Curran moves out of range.
Griffin throws a lazy right hand but Curran sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Curran moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Curran ducks under a wild hook from Griffin.
Curran tries to land a front kick but Griffin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Curran just misses with a punch to the body.
Griffin misses with a lunging right hand
and Curran counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Curran misses with a looping left.
Griffin throws a counter combo.
Griffin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Curran pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Curran works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Griffin moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A slow jab from Griffin misses its intended target.
Curran swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Curran throws a hook but Griffin avoids it easily.
Griffin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Curran looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Griffin gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Curran swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Curran lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Curran throws a nice looking combination but Griffin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Randy Curran is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Curran keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Curran scores with a sloppy right hand. Griffin should have avoided that one.
Griffin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Curran.
Curran cracks Griffin with a right hand to the side of the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Griffin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Curran misses the shot to the body.
Griffin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Good leg kick by Curran there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Curran.
Randy Curran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Curran circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Griffin drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Curran follows Griffin to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Curran!

During a confident post fight interview, Randy Curran thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Tito Griffin had this to say: 'Thank you for the fight thank you fans and my opponet you were the better fighter'.
