The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Ngannou.

Schwartz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Schwartz is trying to work for a kimura but Ngannou is defending well.
Schwartz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Schwartz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schwartz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Schwartz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ngannou defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ngannou tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Schwartz manages to move to mount!
Ngannou tries to lock up and control but Schwartz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Schwartz quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Schwartz but it's paid off an Ngannou is forced to tap! Nice work by Schwartz.
