Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Johansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Umarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Umarov's choice of entrance music: Sharpudi Ismailov - Club Akhmat. Timur Umarov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umarov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johansson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

John Johansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Umarov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johansson did well to prevent Umarov getting side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Umarov connects with a nice short shot to Johansson's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Johansson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

You get the feeling that Johansson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Johansson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Umarov! Submission of the night perhaps?
