The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmo jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Ottelee moves into range and clinches up with Schmo.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy left from Ottelee finds it's target.
Joe Schmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ottelee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Schmo.

Schmo misses with a hook to the body
and Ottelee counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Schmo takes a swing at Ottelee's ribcage but misses.
Ottelee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Schmo moves away from the strike by Ottelee.
Schmo let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ottelee misses with a double jab
letting Schmo counter with a right hand.
Schmo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ottelee misses with a looping right.
Schmo walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Schmo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Schmo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ottelee circles away quickly and effectively.
Ottelee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Schmo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kuha Ottelee's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
