Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Menkrylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucious Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler has chosen Shout At The Devil as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jakob Menkrylov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucious Tyler!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler stuffs the takedown.
Menkrylov throws a head kick that misses
and Menkrylov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Tyler closes the distance and clinches.
Tyler tries a body shot but Menkrylov blocks it.
Menkrylov has Tyler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tyler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tyler.
Menkrylov is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakob Menkrylov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tyler lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Tyler stalling.

Tyler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lucious Tyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyler fails in his attempt to clinch.
Menkrylov stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyler. Tyler gets slowly back to his feet.
Menkrylov appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyler takes the fight into the clinch.
Tyler has a couple of punches blocked by Menkrylov.

Menkrylov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Menkrylov after a bit of a struggle.
Tyler prevents the takedown attempt.

Tyler breaks the clinch.
Tyler lands a two punch combo.
Tyler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Menkrylov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Menkrylov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tyler is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Tyler has his foot on Menkrylov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Menkrylov works his way back into a safe position though.
Tyler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tyler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Menkrylov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tyler is proving hard to escape from.
Tyler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Tyler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Menkrylov is aware though and is defending well.
Menkrylov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Menkrylov distracts Tyler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Tyler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Menkrylov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tyler is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Menkrylov frees his head nicely. Oh but Tyler has switched to an armbar! Menkrylov is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
