Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Braxton Hernando and Mista Vegas. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Mista Vegas!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vegas is defended easily by Hernando.
Vegas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hernando's waist but Hernando gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vegas off to one side.
Hernando seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Hernando gets caught flat footed, as Vegas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Hernando (0) vs (2) Vegas
Vegas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Vegas trying to move into half guard but instead Hernando has managed to sweep! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hernando (2) vs (2) Vegas
Hernando stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vegas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hernando wants to control from the top but Vegas keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vegas wants to sweep but no luck.
Vegas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Vegas trying to control the position.
Hernando stands and throws Vegas's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Hernando (5) vs (2) Vegas
Vegas is looking to regain half guard here but Hernando keeps moving and retains side control.
Hernando is trying to get an arm triangle but Vegas is defending well.

Vegas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hernando is working away from the top position though.
