Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zack Kittel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Vanna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kittel comes to the cage accompanied by Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Kittel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcin Vanna!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kittel dives in and grabs Vanna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vanna pushes down on Kittel's head and hops out.

Vanna darts in and clinches Kittel up against the cage.

Vanna pulls guard successfully.

Vanna is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Vanna being controlled here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vanna has a closed guard, preventing Kittel from standing up.
Vanna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kittel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vanna works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Vanna pulls Kittel in to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vanna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kittel circles away.
Kittel throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Vanna counters with a single leg into guard. Kittel didn't expect that.

Kittel is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kittel wants to stand but Vanna is controlling the position.
Vanna not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Vanna wants to control from the top but Kittel keeps moving.
Vanna stays in close to Kittel's body and controls the position.
Kittel keeping moving, preventing Vanna from controlling successfully.

Vanna is looking to stand up but Kittel won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kittel tries to clinch but Vanna is having none of it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kittel.

Kittel tries to keep at a distance but Vanna has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kittel has Vanna pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kittel pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Vanna tumbling to the mat - Kittel dives into Vanna's guard.
Kittel wants to control from the top but Vanna keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vanna looking for a guillotine here but Kittel defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kittel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vanna is keeping the position for now.

Vanna clinches up against the cage.
Vanna jumps guard but Kittel stands there with Vanna around his waist. Vanna gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Vanna is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kittel to keep the fight standing.
Vanna jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kittel walks away with a smile on his face. Vanna gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Zack Kittel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcin Vanna.
Vanna fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vanna tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kittel was well out of range. Poor timing from Vanna.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vanna shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kittel sprawls well. Kittel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vanna gets slowly back to his feet.

Kittel has taken the fight to the clinch.

Vanna has Kittel pressed against the cage, preventing Kittel from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kittel jumps guard but Vanna stands there with Kittel around his waist. Kittel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Vanna prevents a takedown attempt there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Vanna looking for subs off his back but Kittel has passed one foot through into half guard.

Kittel decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Vanna closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kittel quickly recovers to half guard.

Kittel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Vanna wants to control from the top but Kittel keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kittel keeps the fight on the outside.
It looked like Kittel was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Zack Kittel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Vanna shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vanna showed some decent athleticism there.

Kittel moves into full guard.

Kittel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vanna is aware though and is defending well.
Kittel has control of Vanna's left arm, preventing Vanna from doing any damage.
Vanna's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Vanna wants to control from the top but Kittel keeps moving.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zack Kittel will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Some wild striking there from Kittel.
Vanna is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Vanna throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kittel's waist but Kittel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vanna off to one side.

Vanna moves into range and clinches up with Kittel.
Kittel is trying to pull guard but Vanna has him pressed against the cage.
Kittel lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Vanna gets underhooks to prevent Kittel's takedown attempt.
Kittel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vanna just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Kittel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vanna lands a body shot in the clinch.

Vanna gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kittel wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Vanna manages to pass to side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kittel wants to improve his position but Vanna is controlling well.
Vanna content to control rather than advance.
Vanna looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vanna in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Vanna has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vanna wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kittel keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Vanna fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No luck for Vanna with that takedown attempt.
Kittel fails with an attempt to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vanna is defended easily by Kittel.
Kittel circles away from the clinch attempt.

Kittel throws a lazy right hand but Vanna sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vanna shoots in for a takedown but Kittel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vanna takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kittel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vanna as he avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Marcin Vanna.
I think Vanna has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
