The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keosayan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Am is fending him off so far but Keosayan persists. Nope, Am circles away and we're back to standing.
Keosayan shoots in for a double leg but Am sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Am checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Am throws a jab when Keosayan was well out of range.
Am loads up on a big right hand but Keosayan slips the punch.
Am fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Keosayan manages to avoid it.
Keosayan throws a lazy uppercut
and Am counters with a two punch combo.
Am throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Keosayan tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Am lands a nice shot that snaps Keosayan's head back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keosayan tries to land a front kick but Am steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
An attempted straight right counter from Am misses the target.

Keosayan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Keosayan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Am scoring well with a low kick there.
Keosayan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Am misses.
Keosayan scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like I Am has been cut.
A good leg kick by Am.
Am with a jab.
Keosayan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Am lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Am works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Am rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Keosayan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
I Am is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Keosayan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Am!

Keosayan tries to advance to mount but Am denies him.
Am manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Keosayan is trying to get back to full guard.

Am wants to lay and pray for a moment but Keosayan keeps working.

Am wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Keosayan, who protects the arm well.

Keosayan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Am wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Am trying to control the position but Keosayan is working away.

Am looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Am lands a nice forearm strike.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Keosayan is trying to improve his position.

Am has hold of Keosayan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Keosayan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Am cranks the arm and Keosayan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Keosayan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
