Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kraig Macias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arlon Wind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraig Macias has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kraig Macias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Arlon Wind!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wind looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Macias!
Macias is looking to regain half guard here but Wind keeps moving and retains side control.
Wind throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Macias is looking for a sweep.
Macias is working hard here to advance position.
Wind working away.
Macias tries to improve position but can't.
Macias struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wind is looking to take a break and control but Macias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wind thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Macias tries to improve position but can't.
Wind tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Macias tries a head kick but it misses.

Wind fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Macias to the ground. Wind is now in Macias's guard.
Macias tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wind trying to control the position from guard on top but Macias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wind wants to pass the guard but Macias is keeping the position.

Wind content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Macias will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wind gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A head kick by Wind misses
and Macias counters with an outside leg kick.

Wind feints and as Macias raises his hands in defense, Wind changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Macias manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wind manages to get himself to full guard.

Macias keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wind's head.
Macias would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Macias trying to control but Wind is working from the bottom.

Wind throws his legs up looking for a submission but Macias uses it to pass to side control.
Macias slows the pace down.
Macias working away.
Macias working the head and body with strikes.
Wind tries to buck Macias off but Macias is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Macias looks up at the clock and then as Wind takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Macias smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wind is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Macias is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Macias takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Arlon Wind will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Wind closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Macias quickly recovers to half guard.
Macias tries to get to full guard but Wind has control of the leg.
Macias is holding on to half guard well.
Macias is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Macias wants to control but Wind is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macias is trying is best to control the position here.
Macias is looking to control Wind's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Macias avoid being mounted?
Macias keeps control of the position for the meantime.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Wind not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Wind is keen to just control but Macias is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Wind feints and as Macias raises his hands in defense, Wind changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Macias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Macias has Wind pulled in close to control his posture.
Macias manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wind manages to get himself to full guard.

Macias slips a nice elbow through Wind's hands, connecting with Wind's forehead.
Macias lands strikes from half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wind is trying to stand.
Macias prevents Wind from improving his position.
Macias seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wind is trying to maintain the position but Macias is very close to passing his half guard.

That's time! Macias's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Macias shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wind sprawls well. Wind wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Macias gets slowly back to his feet.
Wind unleashes a big counter combination but Macias bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Macias closes the distance and clinches.

Arlon Wind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wind misses with a low kick as Macias jumps back.

Wind closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Wind takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Macias holds on and takes a little breather.

Wind is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Macias is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Macias has escaped and now he's on top!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Macias is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Wind throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Macias on the side of the head.

Wind gets tackled into the cage by Macias. Macias maintains the clinch.
Macias has Wind pushed against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Macias manages to break the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Wind.

Macias is looking to counter with a body kick.
Wind tries to bum rush Macias with a series of wild strikes but Macias uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Macias moves into the clinch successfully.

The referee calls for Macias to work.
Macias has Wind pushed against the cage.

Macias turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Macias manages to end up in side control.

Macias connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wind some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Macias looks up at the clock and then as Wind takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Macias smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kraig Macias has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Arlon Wind is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
