Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryn Sotiropoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Opstad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Opstad's choice of entrance music: Moby - Natural Blues. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sotiropoulos ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Opstad throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Sotiropoulos tries to kick Opstad off but Opstad keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Leon Opstad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Opstad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sotiropoulos is trying to defend but Opstad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Opstad is taking a breather. Sotiropoulos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Opstad has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sotiropoulos defend it? Opstad steps over the head and cranks it - Sotiropoulos is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Opstad!
