The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nozume shoots in looking for a takedown but Jorgsigason manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nozume's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jorgsigason stuns Nozume with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Jorgsigason drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nozume defends it well.

Nozume dives in and scores a takedown into Jorgsigason's guard.

Jorgsigason is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jorgsigason just misses with a elbow thrown towards Nozume's brow.

Nozume has picked Jorgsigason up - he's going for a ride! Nozume dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nozume seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jorgsigason does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jorgsigason wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Nozume moves into full mount! Jorgsigason won't be happy about that!
Nozume tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Jorgsigason really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nozume. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

JonPaul Jorgsigason's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at JonPaul Jorgsigason's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
