The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Shaughnessy lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Simard shoots in but no luck this time.
Simard closes the distance looking to clinch
and O Shaughnessy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
O Shaughnessy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and O Shaughnessy wants it to stay on the feet.
O Shaughnessy drives through with a takedown into guard.
O Shaughnessy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Simard dives on top into guard.
