Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Khalil Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigurd Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Down with the Sickness (instrumental) -Disturbed as his entrance music. Sigurd Wallace looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mack on his heels. He'll look to pass Mack's guard now, I'm sure.
Wallace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wallace pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mack is keeping the position for now.
Wallace works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Wallace is pressing down on Mack's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mack is holding on for now.
Mack is trying to stand.
Wallace is just content to waste time from the top position. Mack takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Mack is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wallace presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack is trying to break the clinch but Wallace has him pressed against the cage.
Wallace keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mack's efforts to push away.
Mack is trying to force a seperation but Wallace has the dominant position.
Mack gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wallace.

Wallace turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Wallace manages to end up in side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mack is pushing Wallace's head away, looking to escape. Wallace manages to hold on to the position though.
Wallace trying to control the action but Mack is working from the bottom.

Mack sneaks out the side door and pushes Wallace away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Mack lands a really nice looking cross but Wallace seems unphased.

Wallace forces Mack back against the cage and clinches.

Wallace has Mack pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wallace pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mack tumbling to the mat - Wallace dives into Mack's guard.

Mack uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Khalil Mack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice straight punches there by Mack. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mack.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mack tries to bum rush Wallace with a series of wild strikes but Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mack changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wallace looks winded!
Wallace wants to clinch.
Wallace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mack defends it nicely.
Mack checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Wallace is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mack sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Khalil Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sigurd Wallace.
Wallace misses with a left hand
letting Mack counter with a right hand.

Wallace is rocked!
Wallace glances at the clock... BAM! Mack nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Wallace crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Wallace is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Khalil Mack!
After winning the bout, Khalil Mack thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
